How we check promo codes
Every code and offer on Akhsam carries a confidence label and the evidence behind it. We never show "verified" without saying what was verified and when.
Where codes come from
- Partner codes are issued to us by the stores' affiliate programmes. We earn a commission when you use them, at no cost to you.
- Official offers are promotions the store publishes itself, such as a first-order discount in its app.
- Deals need no code, for example a free-delivery level or a card benefit.
- Reported codes appear on other coupon sites. We list them so you can see everything in one place, clearly marked as not checked by us until we have checked them.
What the confidence labels mean
- High: at least one of these happened recently. We confirmed the code is active with the affiliate network (shown with the date and time, Gulf time). We applied it at a real checkout and saw the discount (shown with the date and what we saw). Or the affiliate network's own report shows orders placed with it (shown with the date of the latest order).
- Medium: our partner code without a recent check, or an offer the store publishes on its own site, with the date we last read it.
- Unverified: listed on other coupon sites. We show how many sites list it and the latest date we saw it.
How often
Partner codes are checked against the network dashboard regularly. A "checked" time disappears automatically after three days without a new check, so a stale claim never stays on the page. Store facts such as delivery fees and return windows show the date we last read them on the store's own site.
Your feedback
The "Did it work?" buttons are counted once per visitor per day. When at least three shoppers have answered, the result is shown next to the code.
What we never do
- Invent usage counters, success rates or star ratings.
- Show a check time we did not make.
- Keep expired codes in the active list. They move to the "expired" section with their end date.
Every change is listed in each page's change log and in our public change feed.
