Instant discount or cashback
There are two kinds of code, and the difference matters.
- Instant discount. The total drops before you pay. Namshi codes work this way: you enter the code in the Order Summary and the price falls. Amazon.ae says to check the price on the final checkout page before you place the order.
- Cashback. You pay the full price and get money back later as store credit. noon codes work this way. noon's help centre says coupon cashback arrives as noon Credits within a few days after delivery.
noon Credits from coupon cashback have limits, according to noon's coupon cashback page:
- They can only be spent on future noon orders.
- They cannot be transferred to a bank account.
- Each amount has its own expiry date. Check it under Account, noon Credits, Credits, Pending & Expiring.
- noon may cancel the credits if it detects fraud or abuse.
noon does let you transfer some other credits, such as refunds, to a bank (minimum 50, maximum 3,000 AED or SAR, once every 15 days), but cashback is not among them. So treat a cashback code as a voucher for your next noon order, not as cash.
Percentage codes and caps: a worked example
Most percentage codes have a cap, written like "10% up to AED 50". The cap is the most you can save, however big the order. To find where the cap kicks in, divide the cap by the percentage: AED 50 ÷ 10% = AED 500.
| Basket | 10% would be | You get | Real saving |
|---|---|---|---|
| AED 200 | AED 20 | AED 20 | 10% |
| AED 500 | AED 50 | AED 50 | 10% |
| AED 800 | AED 80 | AED 50 | 6.25% |
| AED 2,000 | AED 200 | AED 50 | 2.5% |
Above the cap, the percentage on the banner stops being true. Two real cases from our store data:
- A 20% Namshi code capped at AED 50 reaches its cap at AED 250.
- A 10% noon cashback code for new customers in Saudi Arabia capped at SAR 150 reaches its cap at SAR 1,500.
For a large basket, a bank card offer with a higher cap can beat the code. Compare both before you pay.
Minimum spend and excluded items
Many codes only work above a set basket value, and the value is usually counted on eligible items only. Watch for three traps:
- Excluded items. Amazon.ae says promotional codes cannot be used on digital content, delivery charges, Amazon Gift Cards or items sold by marketplace sellers (Amazon.ae help). Namshi excludes some brands and sale items.
- Free delivery thresholds. A discount can push your basket under the free-delivery line. Namshi UAE delivers free from AED 150, so check the delivery fee after you apply a code.
- Returns. Trendyol Saudi says coupon and free-shipping benefits are deducted from your refund if a return takes the order below their threshold. noon says promotional discounts are not refundable, so a returned promo item gets a partial refund (noon promotions help).
New customers vs existing customers
Many of the biggest codes are for a first order only. Others have a usage limit per customer. noon says limits vary by campaign: some promotions can be used once per customer, others several times, and the limit is shown in the offer terms.
- Namshi's own FIRST offer is for the first order in the app.
- noon's new-customer cashback in Saudi Arabia is 10% up to SAR 150.
- Amazon.ae's September 2026 gift card promotion was limited to one credit per account.
- noon One's free trial is once per mobile number.
Stores check eligibility against your account, and often your phone number too: Namshi asks you to verify your number by OTP at checkout. Stores do not publish every check they run, so a second account with the same number or address may be refused. "New customer" usually means new to that store in that country.
One code per order
Expect one code per order. noon's promotions help says most promotions cannot be combined with other offers, discount codes or coupons, unless the terms say so. If you enter a second code, it usually replaces the first.
So pick the code that saves the most on this basket. Use the cap maths above: on a small basket a high percentage wins; on a large one the higher cap wins.
Two more Amazon.ae rules worth knowing: if an order paid with a promo code is cancelled or returned for a refund, the code cannot be used again; and a code you enter but don't use stays on your account until it expires.
Codes, bank offers and memberships
Three things can lower what you pay, and they follow different rules:
- Promo codes come from the store or its partners.
- Bank card offers come from a bank and need its card. Many are entered as a code, such as noon's FAB10 for FAB and Dubai First Mastercard credit cards, which noon says cannot be combined with any other voucher or coupon code.
- Memberships such as noon One and Amazon Prime are paid subscriptions. They mainly cut delivery costs and give early access to sales; they are not entered in the coupon box.
| At noon | Works with a promo code? |
|---|---|
| 0% bank instalment plan | Yes |
| Bank card discount offer | No, pick one |
| noon One membership | Membership is not a coupon; check the code terms |
noon's 0% instalments start at orders over AED 500 in the UAE and over SAR 1,000 in Saudi Arabia, with partner banks. Prices at the time of writing, October 2026: noon One costs AED 15 a month (a limited-time offer) in the UAE and SAR 29.99 in Saudi Arabia; Amazon Prime costs AED 16 or SAR 16 a month, or 140 a year.
Why UAE and Saudi codes are separate
A code made for one country usually fails in the other. The reasons are practical:
- Separate stores. noon runs noon.com/uae-en and noon.com/saudi-en; Amazon runs Amazon.ae and Amazon.sa; Namshi and Trendyol also have separate country sites. Each has its own catalogue, prices and promotions.
- Separate currencies. A cap of AED 50 and a cap of SAR 50 are different amounts, so codes are set per currency.
- Different terms. The same store sets different rules in each country. noon's instalment minimum is AED 500 in the UAE and SAR 1,000 in Saudi Arabia; Namshi's free delivery starts at AED 150 in the UAE and SAR 200 in Saudi Arabia; noon's cash on delivery fee is AED 12 and SAR 18.
Before you enter a code, check that the site or app is set to the country you are shipping to.
